Jeffersontown, KY Homes for Sale
Jeffersontown, often called "J-town," is a city in eastern Jefferson County, just south of our office. It's a separate home rule-class city with its own mayor and council. It kept its status as an independent city when Louisville and Jefferson County merged into Louisville Metro in 2003. Jeffersontown was incorporated in 1797, under the name "Jefferson," on land from Abraham Bruner. Today it's also home to Bluegrass Commerce Park, which opened in 1966 and now covers more than 1,800 acres with about 850 businesses. About 28,500 people lived here at the 2020 census. This page has the latest Jeffersontown homes for sale and a short guide to living here.
